Saraswathi

SKU : GS1

The exquisitely carved sandalwood figurine of Goddess Saraswati has been crafted from the finest sandalwood by expert artisans. The expertise of the craftsman is seen in the intricate filigree work on the rich golden hues of the fragrant sandalwood, mounted on a solid pedestal of pure rosewood.

Saraswati, the consort of Lord Brahma is the Goddess of knowledge, music and the arts and is worshipped by all seekers of knowledge, especially students, teachers, scholars, and scientists.
Goddess Saraswathi represents intelligence, enlightenment, cosmic knowledge, creativity, education, music and the arts. The beautiful and elegant deity is always portrayed, clad in pristine white and seated on a white lotus, representing purity and brilliance. She has four arms signifying the four components in learning; mind, intellect, alertness and ego. She holds a pestle in one hand and a rosary in the other. The rosary signifies concentration, meditation, and contemplation leading to salvation. She plays the veena, a musical instrument with her other two hands.  The two hands denote the mind and intellect and are symbolic of the fact that the mind and intellect should be in tune with each other to achieve perfect harmony with the world.

Maintenance Tips:
Keep indoors. Lightly dust the figurine as required. We recommend the use of a mild wood cleaner on a swab of cotton wool.
